Pod and Puddles

Pod and Puddles they are Jack Russel dogs, they don’t belong to me but to a very good friend/neighbour of mine, Dawn. She lives alone now as her only son has moved out to set up home and start his own family, so Dawn decided to get a dog and she came back with Pod that was three years ago now, Dawn’s registered blind so although she does go out now and again, she usually preferred the safety of her own surroundings but Pod gave her a reason to go out more, which meant she would stop and chat to people on their walks together, then the kids where we live started going on walks with them so he really was a blessing to Dawn and opened the world up to her a little more. About one year after having Pod a friend of Dawn’s brought a pup to show her, they had brought it but had changed their minds about owning the pup for some unknown reason..well she couldn’t see the pup without a home so she brought her and named her Puddles. Dawn didn’t take to her straight away like she did Pod but I did, I thought she was lovely and she seemed to take to me too, Dawn always says she was meant to be mine because everyday she breaks free from Dawn to come and see me, she makes such a fuss and I do of her she’s brillant and such a beautiful looking dog. At the moment she’s expecting her second litter of pups and she really is blooming (if a dog can do that ) her coat is so thick and shinny and her eyes so bright it really suits her been in pup and of course Pod is the proud dad to be for the second time around. Dawn and I are so excited we can’t wait for them to arrive which we don’t think will be to long now she’s massive. Puddles coped brillantly last time having no problems giving birth to four male pups unfortuantely we lost one, which was really sad but Puddles was so good with them we were full of admiration for her and what beautiful pups they were and so much fun Dawn really enjoyed having them about the house which made her think that if she does have bitches in this litter she may keep one this time and start to breed them.

So I thought it would be a nice and fun idea to post pics and updates about the pups once they are born, so if it appeals to you , check back as I will be posting regularly.
